On 14th June 2026, 22 Northampton Judo Academy members swapped the tatami for mud, water and obstacles as our Judokas and their families took part in our Summer Family Day at Wolf Run.
The day brought together players, parents and coaches away from the dojo for a completely different kind of challenge. Across the course, everyone faced climbing obstacles, water crossings, muddy trails and plenty of opportunities to work together and encourage one another.

While very different from Judo competition, the event still called on many of the same qualities we encourage in training — determination, resilience, confidence and supporting the people around you.
It was particularly great to see so many parents taking part alongside their children. Days like this give our members the chance to spend time together outside regular training, strengthen friendships within the club and create memories that go well beyond the dojo.

By the end, everyone was considerably muddier than when they started, but the smiles remained throughout.
A fantastic Summer Family Day and another great experience shared by the Northampton Judo Academy community. We hope everyone can join our next Family Day!
