One year of Northampton Judo Academy!

Saturday 11 October 2025 marked a huge milestone for us — our first anniversary! It’s hard to believe how much has happened in just twelve months. Looking back, it’s clear that none of this would have been possible without our amazing community, dedicated members and parents, and the committed team who work tirelessly both on and off the mats to make everything run smoothly. Every throw, every laugh, every late-night idea — it all led us here. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping shape what Northampton Judo Academy has become.

Over this first year, we didn’t just grow — we expanded. Not once, but twice, our mat area stretched wider to make more room for all the energy, determination, and excitement that fills every session. And thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors and our incredible community, we were able to add two brand new crash mats, giving our players the safest and most dynamic space to train. Your support literally padded our progress — we couldn’t have done it without you!

Our classes have evolved, too. We introduced new age groups and launched our Competitive Squad, a performance-focused group that’s pushing limits and setting new standards for what our young Judoka can achieve. Watching their progress has been nothing short of inspiring. It’s a reminder that when passion meets opportunity, incredible things happen.

We’ve also created so many unforgettable memories this year — from competitions and family days to our first-ever judo camp! Every event brought us closer together and filled our story with moments we’ll look back on for years to come. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines or laughing during warm-ups, these shared experiences are what make our academy truly special.

But most importantly, we’ve witnessed our community grow — not just in numbers, but in spirit, resilience, and camaraderie. Every handshake, every word of encouragement, and every proud smile has fuelled us to keep improving, to show up stronger, and to do more for our members.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for an unforgettable first year. Here’s to everyone who believed, supported, trained, coached, volunteered, and cheered — you made it happen.

We’re already planning what’s next, and trust us — the new year will bring even more to get excited about.
