NJA Northampton Spring Championships 2026

On 23rd May 2026 we hosted Northampton Judo Championships Spring 2026.

Our judo competition brought another strong day of development competition to Northampton Judo Academy, with 16 clubs and more than 60 Judokas joining us on the mat.

The event gave players of different ages and experience levels the opportunity to compete in a supportive environment, put their training into practice and gain valuable contest experience. For several Judokas, this was also one of their first competitions, making the day an important step in building confidence and becoming more comfortable in a competitive setting.

Development events like this play an important role in a player’s progression. Results matter, but so does learning how to manage nerves, make decisions under pressure, adapt to different opponents and reflect on each contest afterwards.

We were pleased to once again welcome so many clubs to Northampton and see players, coaches and families coming together for a positive day of Judo. Many memorable fights, and even more

A big thank you goes to all referees, coaches, parents and volunteers who helped make the event possible, with special recognition to our table team for keeping the competition running smoothly throughout the day.

We are proud to continue hosting events that support the development of Judokas and help strengthen the local Judo community.
